I started with a vintage Imari ware plate, more specifically, a vintage Japanese "Yume Kibou" floral scalloped porcelain plate that I then upcycled / repurposed into a beautiful jewelry holder / trinket dish by adding a super finial of two birds on a branch to the center to hold a ring or whatever you would like!

In my research, I was pleased to find out the meanings of the Japanese words "Yume" & "Kibou", which only made me love this plate even more!
夢 ゆめ Yume: Dreams
希望 きぼう Kibou: Hope

The trinket dish measures 5" in diameter & the two birds finial stands 1.75" tall.

The vintage plate requires a hole for the finial, so we used a drill press to slowly & carefully drill the hole, then a bolt is installed for the finial to screw onto, with a silicone washer protecting the dish.
