Join us at Reinvintage Warehouse for a full-day creative workshop exploring color, texture, stitching, and woven design through a mixed media canvas weaving project.
In this immersive workshop, participants will create a finished 12” x 12” canvas weaving that combines painted backgrounds with layered fiber and stitched elements. The day begins with painting and preparing your canvas base, giving you the opportunity to experiment with color, mark-making, and texture while building a foundation for your piece. During our lunch break, canvases will have time to dry before we transition into the second half of the workshop.
In the afternoon session, we’ll begin adding woven and stitched elements using a variety of fibers and textiles to create depth, movement, and texture across the canvas surface. Participants will learn approachable weaving and stitching techniques that can easily be adapted for future projects, making this workshop welcoming for both beginners and experienced creatives alike.
In addition to the artistic process, we’ll also cover how to properly finish the back of your piece for added structural integrity and a clean, professional presentation, ensuring your artwork is ready to display at home.
This workshop is designed to encourage creative exploration while still providing plenty of guidance and support throughout the day. Each participant will leave with a completely unique textile-inspired artwork layered with color, texture, and personal expression.
