In Granny Squares 101, we’ll go over the basics and learn how to turn simple stitches into colorful, creative squares that can become all kinds of gorgeous projects.
During class, you’ll learn:
The classic basic granny square pattern
A beautiful sunburst granny square
How to change colors as you crochet
How to join your squares together
Ideas for turning your squares into scarves, blankets, wearables, and more!
We’ll also talk about the granny square poncho we’re creating together in our community group. (Because a pile of pretty squares is even better when it turns into something you can wear!)
Skill Level: Beginners II
All skill levels are welcome, but this class is best for students who already know a few crochet basics. If you are brand-new to crochet, you may want to start with our Foundational Crochet Series first so you can build those beginning skills with confidence.
