Rosewood by Laughlin Bluebird Pendant Necklace

This beautiful Vintage China round pendant necklace has been created from a fabulous antique 'Rosewood' plate produced by Homer Laughlin circa 1920 through 1943 ~ which explains the extensive crazing throughout the plate! I stumbled upon this plate in a local thrift store & immediately fell in love with those gorgeous birds ~ I only wish they had more than one! For this pendant, I captured one of those happy birds for you to enjoy! :)
The design for this ab~fab pendant was chosen from the plate, carefully cut out with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout is added to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage china piece.
The large round setting/bezel is silver plated & measures 1 1/2" long, 1 1/2" wide & 1/4" deep.
I paired this pendant with a 16" Multi-colored (glass) seed bead necklace, with lobster claw closure + 3" extender chain for your wearing pleasure!
