Shelley's "Melody" Chintz Rectangle Ring

This beautiful & totally fabulous ring was created from a Shelley Fine Bone China saucer in their exquisite 'Melody' pattern ~ a colorful floral mint green chintz design featuring vibrant flowers displayed in shades of pink, yellow, blue & mauve with lush green foliage. 'Melody began production in 1938 & was discontinued in 1966. Now you can have a beautiful piece of history adorning your finger, while helping to preserve this under-appreciated art form! :)
What attracted me to this pattern (besides everything!) is all the vibrant colors, those pink, yellow, blue & mauve flowers with sprays of green foliage & that gorgeous mint green background ~ I just love it & hope that you do, too!
The design for this ring was chosen from the plate, cut out carefully with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout is applied to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage china pendant.
I have lovingly placed the porcelain piece into a rectangle shaped hammered antiqued silver over brass adjustable ring bezel. The setting measures just under 1" long x just under 1/2" wide & it is adjustable to fit most any finger you might like to adorn with it!
